Recently, it has come to our company’s notice that certain criminals maliciously used Taiping Group’s trademark to make counterfeit APP and fraudulently misappropriated the name of Taiping Assets to defraud investors via online platforms such as WeChat and QQ. The above circumstances have been suspected of constituting financial fraud, seriously damaging the legitimate rights and interests of defrauded investors and impairing the brand image and goodwill of Taiping Group and its related companies. In this regard, our company hereby makes the following statements:

1. At this moment, the only APP software released by the affiliate of our group company is Taiping Securities smart phone app. The APP software can be downloaded in the official Apple Store (iphone), the official Google Play (android phone) or the following website of the affiliate of our group company http://www.tpsec.com.hk/tc/business/detail/securities-brokerage/securities-investment-channels Our company hereby states that any other counterfeit APP software, which is published in the name of Taiping Assets or branded “Taiping Assets”/ “app.taipingzc.com” through other APP application mall, website links or other QR codes, is not related to our company whatsoever. All information published by the above counterfeit APP software has not obtained any permission or authorization from our company. Our company does not assume any responsibilities related to the information contained in that website and counterfeit APP software.
2. If any investor has downloaded and used the counterfeit APP software, please stop using it immediately. If you have suffered any losses, please retain the evidence and report to the Hong Kong Police Force as soon as possible. Our company would like to urge investors to be more vigilant and refrain from clicking the links sent from unidentified persons and installing any unverified APP software.
3. The asset management products are all sold under the name of our company. Any fund used for subscribing the asset management products should be transferred to our company’s designated bank in accordance with the asset management agreement. When investors subscribe for our company’s asset management products, please do not transfer fund to any account other than our company’s account and particularly not to transfer fund to any personal accounts.
4. With respect to the above counterfeit APP software misappropriating our company’s name, our company will take legal actions against the organization and individual which use our company's name to conduct illegal activities.
